Jim Norton is a pervert

in the truest sense of the word. The physical equivalent of a tall slug, he pays top dollar for massages with happy endings and is fascinated by shitty sitcoms and fat girls. He is also, at times, racially offensive and morally repugnant. He spares no one in his comedy -- least of all himself.

Now, in this outrageous, blisteringly funny collection of essays, Norton tackles the topics that are near and dear to his heart: from public events like the legendary Voyeur Bus incident on the Opie and Anthony Show, which culminated in all involved being taken to jail, or seeking a hug from his childhood idol Gene Simmons, to deeply private moments, including a teenage Jim's embarrassing poetry-writing attempts while in rehab, and his inexpensive sexual experience with an unwashed MILF (a Monolith I'd Like to Forget). His stories are raw, searingly honest in their attention to detail, and most of all, hilarious.

Filled with personal photos and nearly fifty candid and uncompromising essays, Happy Endings is one of a kind...and probably best read on an empty stomach.

What Customers Say About Happy Endings: The Tales of a Meaty-Breasted Zilch:

Get this book. Although "I Hate Your Guts" was funny, this book is at least twice as good. Such brutally honest and horrifying stories throughout from cover to cover.

I am a big fan of Jim Norton, have all his albums and his DVDs and I love the guy, when he does standup. For the most part it is merely boring, and there are some, but very few, grins. But his humor does not translate to books. This book is unfunny, he cannot get ready for punchline for a reader the way he does with a microphone. No chickles, no laughs. Better invorst your money in Jim's early albums like "Yellow Discipline".

It's currently selling on Amazon for $1.81 and I can't even resell mine for that. That should tell you everything you need to know. Sorry, Jimmy. Stick with stand-up.

Just as I expected it to be, an excellent read. Jim Norton is a true comical genius. Picked up this right after reading "I Hate Your Guts" because I was dying for more. Jim definitely doesn't disappoint.

I'm only half way through this book of filth and it's had me laughing the whole time. a great piece of scum. I feel sorry for him, I'm repusled by him, and yet drawn to care for him. It's an honest open look into the tragedy of Jim Norton's life. probably both. some of the greatest comedy comes at the price of a little comfort, on the part of the reader and the author. I even bought a copy for a friend for the great consumer holiday (JC's birthday), what can I say about this book that hasn't been said. he's judgmental and honest and mean, he does well to push buttons without totally ejecting the reader from continuing.

One of my favorite parts was his description of fantasizing about another hand job artist while getting a 'special massage' from a not so talented technician. like I said, I haven't read the whole thing yet, but thus far it's awkward and honest and Jim says the things we think about but don't discuss in 'proper' society. I don't know if I'd shake his hand or punch him in the face if I met him in public. :)
